Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Possess at least 6 months of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, while communicating with site contacts and public emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, report suspicious behavior, and document incidents, observations, and/or policy concerns according to site guidelines.
  • Support a professional atmosphere by giving directions, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and reporting hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or security-related issues to the proper personnel.
