As an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and provide strong customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, so a valid driver’s license meeting Allied Universal driver policy requirements is required. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, equipment yards, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Control access by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing gates and/or key control, and documenting entries and exits per post orders.
  • Complete shift documentation including patrol logs, incident reports, and maintenance or hazard notifications, and communicate notable updates to oncoming personnel and site management.
