As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Driver in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents while delivering outstanding customer service and communication. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, supporting campus operations through teamwork, integrity, and a caring, people-first culture with Allied Universal.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an education location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and/or security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and calls for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and public resources as directed by post orders.
  • Monitor access points and security-related systems, assist with visitor guidance and/or badge verification where required, and report suspicious activity according to site procedures.
  • Prepare written and/or electronic reports, document incidents and patrol activity, and communicate key information during shift turnovers to support continuity of operations.
