Requirements

Vaccines are required for hospital assignments.
Work assignments may include duties in the hospital morgue.
Must be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and respond to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, utilizing de-escalation techniques when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior.
Collaborate with healthcare staff and/or law enforcement as needed during incidents or emergencies, maintaining clear and professional communication.
Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and activities during each shift according to Allied Universal guidelines.
Assist with access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering restricted areas and/or escorting visitors and staff as required.
Remain alert and attentive to the environment, reporting potential hazards or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.
