As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents while supporting staff, patients, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication, respond to concerns, and document observations. Requirements

  • Proof of a high school diploma and/or GED is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site leadership and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify hazards or unusual conditions; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor management, including observing for suspicious behavior, helping to direct foot traffic, and reporting unauthorized access attempts per site procedures.
  • Complete security-related reports and logs, communicate relevant information during shift transitions, and support investigations by preserving observations and/or video evidence as directed.
