About The Position

As a Security Officer - Industrial Park Patrol Driver in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a shelter location, you will complete routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with calm communication and customer service. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, guests, and/or residents by following Allied Universal post orders, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or policy violations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional support and/or emergency services as needed.
  • Monitor access points and common areas, help manage visitor check-in procedures when assigned, and report suspicious behavior and/or unsecured areas.
  • Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and other required documentation, and communicate security-related concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
