Job Description As a Security Officer - Facility Patrol in High Point, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer supporting a transportation location, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, remain highly visible, and help to deter security-related incidents around yards, loading areas, and access points. You will monitor activity, document observations, and communicate clearly with drivers, staff, and visitors while providing customer-focused assistance. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and drivers by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of transportation yards, docks, parking areas, exterior perimeters and interior common areas as assigned; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Monitor access points and vehicle movement by observing gates, entrances and staging areas, verifying authorization as directed and assisting with visitor, vendor and driver check-in and/or directions.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, accidents and/or disruptions according to post orders.
• Complete daily activity reports and incident documentation, communicate observations to site leadership and/or dispatch, and support loss prevention efforts by maintaining a visible presence.
