About The Position
As a Security Officer - Medical Center Patrol in Myrtle Beach, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, clear communication, and timely response to security-related concerns. Requirements

- The client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
- This position is in a hospital environment where individuals may need to be restrained.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with de-escalation and timely notification to appropriate personnel.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, parking areas, and the perimeter, watching for unusual activity and conditions that may help to deter unauthorized access.
- Control access at designated points by monitoring entries and exits, verifying credentials as required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in and/or destination areas.
- Complete thorough documentation of patrols, incidents, and observations, and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management as needed.
