As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff through professional customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and responding to calls for assistance. Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, calls for assistance, disruptive behavior, and medical facility-related concerns.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior corridors, waiting areas, entrances, stairwells, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access at designated entrances by observing foot and vehicle traffic, verifying authorization when required, and directing visitors to appropriate check-in points.
• Perform routine rounds to observe conditions that may impact security-related operations, reporting concerns such as unsecured doors, propped entrances, and suspicious activity.
• Assist with visitor management processes as assigned, including providing directions, supporting check-in flow, and communicating policy reminders in a professional manner.
• Monitor surveillance equipment and/or other security-related systems as assigned, reporting unusual activity per site procedures.
• Document patrol activity, incidents, and actions taken in written reports and/or electronic logs in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
• Communicate promptly with site personnel, Allied Universal supervision, and/or emergency services as needed, using radios, phones, and/or other approved methods.
• Support response to emergency situations such as fire alarms, weather events, and/or facility lockdown procedures as directed by site policy and Allied Universal guidance.
