Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols of assigned areas, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support patients, visitors, and staff with professional customer service. You will communicate clearly, respond to calls for assistance, and contribute to a caring culture that values agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be able to comply with hospital vaccine requirements.
  • Be able to work in a hospital morgue environment.
  • Be able to provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting.
  • Have at least 2+ years of service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local emergency responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of hallways, common areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Monitor and control access to designated areas, verify visitor authorization when required, and assist with directing foot traffic to support orderly operations.
  • Complete written and/or electronic reports, incident documentation, and shift activity logs, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
