About The Position

As a Security Officer - Medical Campus Patrol Driver in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, help to discourage security-related incidents through a visible presence, and support access control as needed. You will also assist staff and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication while documenting activity using a computer and/or tablet. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical emergencies, disruptive behavior, and access concerns, and/or escalating to onsite leadership and local responders as needed.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of corridors, lobbies, waiting areas, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance issues.
Control access at designated entrances by monitoring for authorized entry, checking credentials when required, and directing visitors to the appropriate destination according to site procedures.
Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other monitoring systems when assigned, and report unusual activity according to post orders.
Complete detailed reports on incidents, observations, and patrol activity, including documenting times, locations, actions taken, and individuals involved.
Provide assistance with wayfinding, visitor questions, and de-escalation support while maintaining a professional presence.
Support patient privacy expectations by following site guidelines for protected areas, restricted corridors, and interactions involving confidential information.
Coordinate with Allied Universal supervision and onsite staff regarding shift briefings, special instructions, and changes to site conditions.
Perform other site-specific duties as assigned in accordance with post orders.
