About The Position

As a Security Officer - Media Property Patrol in Newark, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will build positive relationships through outstanding customer service and communication, supporting a welcoming environment. Requirements

A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting the needs of the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor the environment for unusual activity or conditions, reporting findings according to established protocols.
Work collaboratively with other Allied Universal personnel and location staff to address security-related matters and maintain a secure environment.
Document observations and incidents accurately in accordance with company and location procedures.
