Job Description As a Security Officer - Property Patrol in Chandler, AZ , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a commercial real estate location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, assist visitors and tenants with a customer-first approach, and communicate clearly while documenting observations using a computer and/or tablet. At Allied Universal, you will work with an agile, reliable team that leads with integrity and teamwork.
Requirements
- Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, tenants, employees, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a commercial real estate location.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of building interiors, common areas, parking areas, loading docks, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
- Control access by checking identification, issuing visitor credentials, managing keys and/or access cards as directed, and directing authorized personnel to the appropriate areas.
- Monitor alarms, cameras, and/or other building systems when assigned, and communicate unusual activity, service issues, or rule violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, document events in shift logs and incident reports, and coordinate with local responders when requested.
