As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entrances and exits at a leading tech-focused location, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, remaining visible, and delivering outstanding customer service. Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor access points to help to deter unauthorized entry to the location, using electronic systems and manual verification processes as required.
  • Provide security-related customer service by following site-specific procedures and guidelines when interacting with employees, visitors, and contractors.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and escalating issues as necessary.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and perimeter to observe for unusual activity and/or potential security-related concerns.
  • Assist with emergency response activities by coordinating with site representatives and Allied Universal management as appropriate.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and daily operations as required by the site.
  • Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and site contacts regarding any security-related matters or concerns.
