Job Description
As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Site in Peru, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help support a secure environment, conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and communicate clearly with site teams and visitors. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license per Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Bring agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to every shift.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients at an industrial manufacturing location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of production areas, warehouses, yards, parking lots, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Control access by monitoring entrances and vehicle gates, confirming authorization, directing visitors and contractors, and/or maintaining visitor logs according to site policy.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and/or policy violations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Complete routine documentation such as shift activity reports and incident reports, and communicate observations during shift transitions to support consistent security-related coverage.
