About The Position

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Patrol Driver in Danville, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with employees and visitors, provide outstanding customer service, and communicate professionally at all times. This is a driving post. Requirements

• Three or more years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience or a college degree is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm and problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the business perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Observe and report any security-related irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
• Interact professionally with employees, visitors, and/or contractors, offering assistance and information as needed.
• Support access control measures by monitoring entrances and exits to help to deter unauthorized entry.
• Complete required reports and logs regarding patrols, incidents, and/or other security-related activities as directed by Allied Universal management.
