About The Position

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Access Driver in Darlington, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading manufacturing and industrial location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, verifying credentials, and conducting routine patrols. Your presence and attention to detail help create a secure environment, while your strong customer service skills foster positive interactions. This post requires a valid driver's license and may involve driving responsibilities as part of your daily duties.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor access points and verify credentials of individuals entering or exiting the location to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and employees by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, and responding to inquiries or requests for assistance.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for the location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and identify potential hazards.
  • Document observations, incidents, and security-related activities in detailed reports as required by site procedures.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related concerns and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity, hazards, or maintenance needs within the manufacturing and industrial environment.
