As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within a manufacturing and industrial location, helping to deter security-related incidents and unauthorized access. You will interact with visitors and employees, provide outstanding customer service, and use technology to manage entry points. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the manufacturing and industrial location, verifying credentials and authorizations for all individuals entering or exiting the premises.
Assist with the implementation and enforcement of site-specific security-related policies and procedures as directed by Allied Universal and client leadership.
Provide customer service by greeting visitors, answering questions, and directing individuals in accordance with established protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating as necessary in accordance with site procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
Document incidents, observations, and access control activities in detailed reports as required by Allied Universal and site management.
Assist with emergency response activities, including coordinating with first responders and following site emergency protocols as needed.
Maintain a visible presence at access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry and promote a secure environment.
