As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol retail and mall locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through your presence and exceptional customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall location, including the business interior and perimeter, to help to deter unwanted activity.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities or potential hazards to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with access control and monitor entrances and exits as required by site policies.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
- Support emergency response efforts and follow established protocols for various situations that may arise within the location.
- Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and patrol activities.
