As an unarmed, driving patrol officer at a high-traffic retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine vehicle and foot rounds, and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents. You will support guests and tenants with friendly customer service, clear communication, and timely reporting. Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail and/or mall location.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify maintenance and/or hazard concerns, reporting issues through the proper channels.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site management and/or local responders as needed.
- Monitor access points and high-traffic areas, assist with visitor and/or vendor direction, and help support crowd flow during peak periods and/or special events.
- Complete shift activity logs and incident reports with clear, accurate details, and communicate observations and follow-up needs to the Allied Universal management team.
