As an Allied Universal Security Officer at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents while delivering customer service and clear communication. This is a driving post, supporting multiple areas as needed. Requirements
- A TSA Issued TWIC is required.
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and post orders.
- Monitor interior and exterior areas of the retail location for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or hazards, and report observations per site guidelines.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site management and emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, parking areas, service corridors, and perimeter zones; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
- Complete required documentation such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and/or access control records, and communicate relevant information during shift handoff.
