Job Description As a Security Officer - Mall Bike Patrols in Santa Clara, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at a bustling retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a visible presence throughout the property. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, assisting guests, and delivering exceptional customer service, all while embodying our values of agility, reliability, and integrity. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- The ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
- Access control or badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- The ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, guests, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at the retail location.
- Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate and follow established protocols.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail property and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or security-related risks.
- Observe and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter unauthorized individuals and/or activities.
- Communicate professionally with property management, tenants, and visitors as required.
- Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and promptly.
