Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or responding to emergencies as appropriate.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and promote a secure environment.
• Monitor for and report any suspicious behavior, hazards, or security-related concerns within the retail or mall environment.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and employees while upholding Allied Universal standards.
• Document and report incidents, observations, and activities as required by site-specific procedures.
• Assist with access control and verify credentials of individuals entering restricted areas when applicable.
• Support emergency response efforts in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
