About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Bike Patrols in Van Nuys, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to promote peace of mind, and deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication, all while upholding our values of reliability, teamwork, and integrity.

Requirements

Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
A valid guard card or license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas within the location to help to deter unauthorized access and report any unusual observations.
Communicate clearly with staff, visitors, and patients to provide assistance and information as required.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client protocols.
Collaborate with hospital staff and local law enforcement when necessary to address incidents or emergencies.
Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help to deter potential disruptions and promote a secure environment.
