Job Description As a Security Officer - Main Lobby Desk in Boston, MA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy healthcare location as a Front Desk officer, where you will welcome staff and visitors, manage access control, issue badges, monitor cameras and alarms, and document incidents. You will be a visible, customer-focused presence who helps reduce security-related issues through clear communication, quick response, and teamwork. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, patients, vendors, and staff by carrying out Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the front desk.
  • Control access at the main entrance by greeting and screening visitors, verifying identification, issuing temporary credentials, and directing authorized persons to the appropriate location.
  • Monitor lobby activity, CCTV, alarms, and entry systems from a stationary post, reporting irregular conditions and/or policy concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting events, and assisting with de-escalation when needed.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports for visitor activity, deliveries, keys and/or badges, and incident details, and communicate updates to internal teams as required.
