About The Position

As a Security Officer - Main Lobby Desk in San Diego, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer at a financial institution location, you will welcome employees and visitors, manage access control and badging, monitor cameras and alarms, and document security-related activity. You will serve as a visible, professional presence, answer questions, communicate clearly during unusual situations, and escalate concerns to the appropriate teams. Requirements

  • Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Control access to the location by screening visitors, issuing temporary badges and/or passes, and directing guests to the appropriate destinations.
  • Monitor lobby activity and front desk systems, documenting unusual activity and reporting concerns according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports for visitor entries, deliveries, incidents, and other required front desk activity.
