As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will welcome employees and visitors, support access control and badging, monitor cameras and alarm activity, and document incidents and requests. You will be a visible, reliable point of contact, delivering customer service through clear communication and teamwork while acting with integrity in every security-related interaction.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at the front desk by following site-specific security-related procedures and access requirements.
  • Monitor lobby activity and maintain awareness of entry points using available systems and logs, helping to deter unauthorized access and/or disruptive behavior.
  • Verify identification and visitor authorization, issue visitor credentials as required, and maintain accurate sign-in and sign-out records.
  • Answer and route calls, coordinate with site contacts for visitor arrivals, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and/or site management as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following emergency response activities and reporting requirements.
