About The Position

As a Security Officer - Main Entrance Desk in Austin, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal at a financial institution front desk, where you will be the welcoming first point of contact while supporting a secure, professional environment. You will monitor entry activity, manage visitor check-in, verify identification, issue badges, and document security-related incidents using site systems. Working with an agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will deliver strong customer service, clear communication, and integrity in every interaction.

Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Greet and assist employees, visitors, and vendors; manage sign-in processes, issue temporary badges, and verify access authorization to help support security-related access control.
  • Monitor lobby activity, entrances, cameras and/or alarms as assigned; report unusual activity and escalate concerns per site procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or public responders as directed.
  • Complete required documentation such as shift logs, incident reports, and access records, and communicate status updates during shift turnover.
