Job Description As a Security Officer - Magnetometer Screener in Sanford, FL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Screener in a tech, media, and telecom location, you will greet visitors, verify credentials, manage access points, and perform entry screening while staying visible to help discourage security-related issues. You will communicate clearly with employees and guests, document activity, and escalate concerns as needed. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by following site-specific security-related procedures and policies at designated screening checkpoints.
  • Screen individuals and belongings using approved methods and equipment, verify identification and access authorization, and help to deter prohibited items from entering controlled areas.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, manage visitor sign-in and badge issuance, and coordinate with site contacts for access approvals and/or escort requirements.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating emergency response activities as directed by post orders.
  • Document screening activities, unusual activity, and incidents in daily logs and reports, and communicate relevant updates to supervisors and/or client representatives.
