About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Terminal Patrol Weekdays in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access points with professional customer service and clear communication. You will document observations, respond to alarms and/or calls for assistance, and work as part of a team that reflects Allied Universal values of agility, reliability, innovation, caring, and integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
A Guard Card and/or license is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, fire alarms, and unauthorized access concerns.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouses, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
Control access at vehicle and pedestrian entry points by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or deliveries, and directing visitors, contractors, and drivers to approved areas.
Monitor CCTV and/or alarm systems when assigned, report unusual activity, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
Perform routine checks of doors, gates, and dock bay areas for signs of forced entry, propped doors, or unsecured areas, and report maintenance or security-related concerns.
Support shipping and receiving operations by observing inbound and outbound traffic flow, noting seal numbers and/or trailer conditions when required by post orders.
Complete daily activity logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation with clear, accurate details in accordance with site requirements.
Provide guidance and assistance to employees, drivers, and visitors regarding site rules, directions, and general questions while maintaining a professional presence.
Coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency responders as directed by post orders and Allied Universal supervision.
