Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Screener Weekdays in Mooresville, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help manage entry points by screening personnel and deliveries, monitoring activity, and conducting routine patrols of assigned areas. You will stay visible, document security-related observations, communicate clearly with team members, and provide customer service to drivers and associates. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, drivers, and/or deliveries using approved methods, verifying identification, checking authorization, and directing individuals to the proper processing areas.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle flow, and loading dock activity to help to deter unauthorized access, theft, and/or policy violations; maintain accurate access logs and screening records.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, documenting observations, and escalating concerns through the chain of command.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, staging areas, and perimeter, observing for irregular conditions and communicating findings to site leadership and/or law enforcement as needed.
