About The Position

As a Security Officer - Logistics Screener in Norcross, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Conduct screening of individuals and/or vehicles entering the logistics and distribution location, following established security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and contractors as they enter or exit the location, addressing questions and directing them as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols and client site guidelines.
Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by maintaining a visible presence at designated screening posts.
Document and report any irregularities, unusual activities, or security-related incidents according to site protocols.
Communicate with site personnel, management, and emergency responders as required during routine operations and/or emergency situations.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and perimeter, as assigned, to help to deter potential security-related threats.
Participate in emergency response activities when appropriate, supporting site evacuation or lockdown procedures as directed.
