As a Screener at a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents. You will interact with visitors and employees, perform screening duties, and provide outstanding customer service. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

X Ray screening experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed.
Screen individuals, vehicles, and/or packages entering or leaving the logistics and distribution location to help to deter unauthorized access and maintain compliance with site protocols.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures for the logistics and distribution environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to observe for irregularities, potential risks, or breaches of site policies.
Maintain detailed and accurate records of screening activities, incidents, and daily observations as required by site management and Allied Universal.
Communicate professionally with site personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers to provide information and assistance related to site-specific security-related requirements.
Support emergency response efforts and coordinate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary, following established protocols.
