As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support daily operations by screening employees, visitors, and deliveries, verifying credentials, and monitoring access points. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents, while providing clear communication and customer-focused assistance. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related screening procedures, location-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Screen employees, visitors, and deliveries at designated entry points using approved methods and equipment, verifying identification, credentials, and authorized access.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, control access through gates and doors, and help to deter unauthorized entry by maintaining a professional, consistent screening presence.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
- Conduct periodic checks of screening areas, entrances, staging zones, and nearby exterior points for unusual conditions, and complete required logs and reports.
