Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Reception Desk in Omaha, NE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Front Desk Security Professional with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution location, you will be the first point of contact, welcoming visitors and managing access to the facility. Your presence and strong customer service skills will help to deter security-related incidents while supporting a positive environment. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and/or emergency response activities as needed at the front desk.
  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of visitors, contractors and/or employees.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain a visible presence at the front desk to help to deter unauthorized activities and provide assistance to those entering or exiting the facility.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, unusual observations and/or violations of policies to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with visitor management, including issuing badges and maintaining visitor logs as required by site-specific procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, employees and visitors while providing information or directions as needed.
