As an Access Control Officer at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will greet team members and visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, and manage entry points to support smooth operations. You will complete routine patrols, document security-related activity, and communicate clearly with site leaders to help reduce loss and disruptions. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
Screen employees, visitors, and drivers for authorized access, help to deter unauthorized entry, and report access concerns per site policy.
Coordinate vehicle access by checking driver credentials, confirming appointments and/or load information, documenting trailer and container numbers, and directing inbound and outbound traffic to designated areas.
Monitor cameras, access control systems, and alarm panels, and communicate unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical calls, fire alarms, and disturbances, and complete required notifications.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, yard, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
Complete detailed reports of daily activity, access activity, incidents, and policy violations using written logs and/or electronic systems.
Support shipping and receiving operations by managing check-in procedures, verifying authorization for restricted areas, and assisting with queue management during peak traffic periods.
Follow post orders related to key control, badge control, restricted area access, and property removal procedures, escalating issues through the established chain of command.
