As a Security Officer Driving Role Screening in Irving, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor access, conduct screening activities, and support security-related operations with professionalism and strong customer service. This is a driving post. As part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, you will help promote a caring environment while acting with integrity and supporting smooth daily operations.

Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving the location in accordance with established post orders and client-directed procedures.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and report unauthorized or unusual activity to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
