As a Security Officer - Logistics Entry Control in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a logistics and distribution environment, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents through your visible presence. Your role includes conducting routine patrols, interacting with people in a professional manner, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

Availability across various days and shifts
Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Carry out security-related screening procedures for personnel, vehicles, and/or packages entering or exiting the logistics and distribution location.
Provide customer service by assisting individuals with security-related inquiries or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures as directed by Allied Universal and the client to help maintain the order of the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as needed according to protocols.
Monitor entrances and exits to help control access and help to deter unauthorized entry or prohibited items from entering the premises.
Conduct regular and random patrols within the business and around the perimeter to help to deter potential security-related incidents.
Participate in emergency response activities as appropriate, following established protocols and guidelines.
Document observations and incidents clearly and accurately in daily activity reports or logs.
