As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and supporting a secure environment. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter potential issues, and providing outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Manage access control procedures at the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or contractors with site-specific protocols and directions.
  • Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies, including responding to alarms and/or incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility and surrounding perimeter to help to deter suspicious activity and report any irregularities.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports on incidents, observations, and/or activities as required by Allied Universal and site management.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by site protocols, maintaining communication with Allied Universal and local authorities as needed.
  • Monitor surveillance systems and/or security-related equipment to identify and report unusual activity within the logistics and distribution environment.
