Job Description As a Security Officer - Logistics Entry Control in Sparrows Point, MD , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, checking credentials, and conducting routine patrols. Your visible presence and exceptional customer service will help create a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of employees, visitors, and vendors.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for any suspicious activity.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures related to access control and security-related operations.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying the appropriate personnel as needed.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of all access control activities and incidents.
Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors, addressing questions and assisting with directions or information related to access control.
Support emergency response activities as directed by site procedures and Allied Universal management.
