As a Security Officer - Logistics Entry Control in Minooka, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor entry points and patrol designated areas within a busy logistics and distribution location. Your role will involve conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to all personnel and visitors. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and suspicious activity.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, irregularities, or hazards observed during patrols or at access points.
  • Assist with the enforcement of company policies and procedures related to access control and security-related matters within the logistics and distribution environment.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal team members and site personnel to address concerns and help maintain a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets.
