Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and manage access at a busy logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, and providing outstanding customer service while maintaining a visible presence. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution facility, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel and/or vehicles.
  • Observe and report any suspicious activity or security-related incidents within the location to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and protect assets.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Provide excellent customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific policies and security-related procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed logs of security-related activities, incidents, and access control events as required by site policies.
  • Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, supporting site personnel and Allied Universal management as needed.
