As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and support a secure environment at a logistics and distribution location. Your role involves monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, conducting routine patrols, and providing outstanding customer service. By remaining visible and approachable, you will contribute to a positive atmosphere while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and putting people first.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials and authorizations for entry and exit.
  • Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and/or delivery personnel with security-related procedures and site-specific policies.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Document and report any security-related incidents, observations, or irregularities in accordance with Allied Universal and client procedures.
  • Assist in emergency response activities as needed, including following evacuation procedures and supporting first responders.
  • Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal team members to address security-related needs specific to the logistics and distribution environment.
