As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entry points and patrolling designated areas. Your presence and attention will contribute to a secure environment for personnel and property. You will interact with visitors and staff, providing exceptional customer service while upholding our values of teamwork, integrity, and a people-first approach.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and authorizations for all individuals entering and exiting the premises.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify any security-related concerns.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment within the logistics and distribution setting.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and notifying appropriate personnel as needed.
Provide customer service by assisting employees, visitors, and/or delivery personnel with access procedures and answering security-related questions.
Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal and client requirements.
Support emergency response activities, including evacuations or lockdowns, as directed by site leadership and Allied Universal guidelines.
