This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license, with opportunities to stay visible, document observations, and help to reduce incidents. Requirements

  • A minimum of 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and contractors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Control access to the facility by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes per site policy, maintaining visitor and contractor logs, and directing individuals to the appropriate areas.
  • Monitor entry points and security-related systems, report unusual activity, and communicate policy reminders in a professional manner to help to deter unauthorized entry.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site representatives and/or emergency services and documenting actions taken.
  • Complete detailed security-related reports such as access logs, incident reports, and shift activity summaries, and escalate maintenance or security-related concerns through the proper channels.
