As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and a visible presence. You will play a key role in supporting a secure environment while providing exceptional customer service and communication, reflecting our agile, reliable, and people-first values. Requirements

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles as required by site-specific policies.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and identify any security-related concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established procedures and protocols.
  • Provide customer service by addressing inquiries and assisting individuals as needed while upholding security-related procedures.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.
  • Support emergency response activities, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific emergency procedures as directed.
