Learn more: aus.com/earnmore. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain order at a busy logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities will include monitoring access points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible throughout the site. You will play a key role in supporting a collaborative environment, providing exceptional customer service, and upholding our values of agility, reliability, and integrity every day.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control procedures by verifying credentials and monitoring entry and exit points at the logistics and distribution location.
Provide customer service by greeting visitors, answering questions, and assisting with directions as needed.
Carry out security-related procedures and follow site-specific policies to help maintain order within the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as necessary.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or security-related concerns.
Document observations, incidents, and activities in detailed reports according to Allied Universal standards.
Collaborate with site management and Allied Universal supervisors to address security-related needs and concerns.
Remain alert to potential security-related risks and communicate observations promptly.
