As an Access Control Officer in a logistics and distribution location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances and exits, checking credentials, and conducting routine patrols throughout the facility. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Assist with access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering and exiting the logistics and distribution location.
Monitor entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access and/or security-related incidents.
Provide customer service by assisting visitors, employees, and drivers with site-specific procedures and directions.
Follow site-specific policies and procedures, including those related to access control and emergency response.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter security-related concerns.
Coordinate with site management regarding deliveries, pick-ups, and visitor access as required by the location's policies.
Document security-related incidents, access violations, and other noteworthy occurrences in daily reports or logs.
