As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Point Monitor in Lenexa, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and manage access points within a dynamic logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, monitoring assigned areas, and providing outstanding customer service through clear communication. Requirements
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and control access to the location, verifying credentials and granting entry to authorized personnel, visitors, and vehicles in accordance with site-specific policies.
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by carrying out security-related procedures and responding to inquiries in a professional manner.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential security-related concerns.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of access control activities, incidents, and observations as required by Allied Universal and site guidelines.
- Assist with emergency response activities when appropriate, coordinating with site personnel and Allied Universal management as needed.
- Communicate promptly and clearly with site staff, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
