As a Security Officer - Logistics Access Driver in Edwardsville, KS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Security Officer with Allied Universal in a logistics and distribution setting, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring entrances, managing access, and conducting routine patrols throughout the location. This primarily driving post requires a valid driver's license and involves maintaining a visible presence to support a secure environment. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing excellent customer service and clear communication while upholding the values of teamwork, reliability, and integrity that define Allied Universal.

Requirements

A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the logistics and distribution location, verifying credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
Assist with the implementation of site-specific security-related procedures and protocols as directed by Allied Universal and site management.
Provide customer service by answering questions, giving directions, and addressing concerns in a professional manner.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe for security-related concerns.
Document all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site guidelines.
Support emergency response activities as appropriate, including assisting with evacuations or other site-specific protocols.
